Akshat Gupta (Batch of 2014) won the National Film Award in the category of best non-feature promoting social and environmental values for his film ‘The Silent Epidemic’
The award was conferred by the Honourable President of India, Shrimati Draupadi Murmu ji on 23rd September at the Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.
The film citation reads “for being a timely documentary that humanizes the impact of road accidents while upholding the values of empathy, responsibility and civic awareness.
The Silent Epidemic, directed by Akshat Gupta (batch of 2014) receieved the 71st National Film Award in the category of Best Non-feature promoting Social and Environmental Issues. The film explores the the road accident crisis in India. It explores the lives of four families from different walks of life, impacted in different ways by road accidents and tries to provide a fresh, design oriented perspective to look at the problem.

His appointment to the CII National Committee is a well deserved honor and a reflection of his dedication to promoting India's tourism and hospitality sector.
